Although sports programming has been my main passion my entire life, over this past decade I am also being drawn back to school! Not in the chair but in front of classes, in the gyms, auditoriums to speak! What on? Many topics but you could say that the majority of talks & presentations can all be tied in within my message that provides ‘Hope & Encouragement’ ! I share that LIFE IS WORTH LIVING! So many of us, our families, our youths…are struggling with issues that are both old and new! Our kids can choose from a ‘smorgasboard’ of illicit drugs. Anxiety and depression is ever present! And this is the very first generation to grow up with ‘social media’….and with all other age groups navigating the net as well…we now find ourselves within a world that we have difficulty in keeping up with…and discerning the truth and our moral compasses are being more and more difficult to set…read or measure! I love speaking about PURSUIT OF PASSIONS! AND to NOT SETTLE FOR LESS EITHER IN LIFE OR IN LOVE~ And as this site’s theme is front & centre in all that I am & do…I am inspired to share much that I have been blessed with in my life in the giving of hope & encouragement to anyone & everyone in those rooms and chairs! And also on the playing fields, hockey rinks, and even within the check out lines! How WONDERFUL this WORLD could be…if we choose to LOVE ONE ANOTHER! (did not say LIKE!!!) Will share more soon. I was honored to be the only speaker for a cause that is dear to me. Raising funds for single parents towards bursaries. It was a two event night (my presentation followed by a night of dancing and socializing). It was an absolutely great evening! Special mention and thanks to my grand daughter Ella Colleen for helping pre event and during, welcoming every person at the entrance door, giving Care Cards…and also hugs to anyone that wanted one!

I am so proud to be named in his honor~
Whenever I can, I prefer to use media within my talks & presentations. Besides being a ‘storyteller’ sharing both the personal and also shining the spot light on others, I love using motivational short vids and music (songs) that I have found to be extremely impactful on our youths. When using them, I often stand aside and watch the faces of the kids…as their eyes are locked onto the screen! Here is two of the many clips I love to show! There are so many great resources on the net (many NOT good as well! We are aware of that!) but I choose to embrace the good! Brene Brown is an exceptional doctor~ Google her and you will have enough reading & viewing to last a year (likely more~). Although most of her talks are in the 15 to 20 minute mark (great TED talk too!) I am offering just a ‘taste’ of Brene! This shortie is about Gratitude…leading to Joyfulness! A daily dose will do it!
