~ Happy Mothers Month to all Moms~

I love the Month of May! And when speaking in schools or at requested events on topics such as PURSUIT OF PASSIONS…. Life Skills… or developing GOOD ADDICTIONS like getting caught OFTEN …doing acts of caring or kindness, I LOVE throwing in my additional 10 minute add on .. that I title ..“MOMS EAT LAST!” No need to convey what that is all about. MOMS know! First to rise, last to bed, and once head hits the pillows and blanket drawn, Moms try to recall if they did all they had to do that day and then go over what they must do the very next day….even the week!. Any yes, its a do over every other day of the year…ALWAYS! MOMS never retire from being a MOM, and also from being a Grand MOM~

I have never met a MOM that did not remember the birth of her baby! The duration of her labour, easy vs hard delivery, time of birth, weight and length….and what she felt when she was handed her baby! As she scanned every facial feature, looking into baby’s blurring eyes, surprised with baby having no hair or LOTS! Then counting the fingers and toes! Who baby looks like? Moms remember EVERYTHING~

It’s believed that the ANGELS are envious of MOTHERS. Why? Because GOD chose only woman to bring forth life on earth! And I also ask within my talks, what was GOD’S last creation? And yes…after a pause, many need no reminder! GOD saved HIS BEST for LAST…creating the better sex…WOMAN~

When I end my ‘MOMS EAT LAST ‘talk’ ..I encourage the eyes upon me to look upon MAY in a grander fashion! How? By making it MOTHERS MONTH…still with that Special Day ! And I also encourage those same eyes that may not have a father in their life, to pick out a FANTASTIC FATHERS DAY card and give it to MOM as well on that third Sunday in June! Moms always have done and will always do… DOUBLE DUTY~

GOD BLESS ALL MOTHERS AS THEY CARE FOR THEIR FAMILIES!

In presentations or talks, I may use special songs and  videos that can get a ‘message’ across much better than I can! And the internet offers so many great ones! In times whereby I often witness so many marriages ending and thus families being torn apart, I see a seemingly epidemic of loneliness  that is affecting so many. And I often am told that true love is a rarity!  Divorce rates are ever increasing. So many are foregoing marriage in favour of  JUST living  together and many of our kids today living in a home with just one parent or in two homes with  2, 3, or 4 parents!

And yes we all know of and appreciate those older couples that are asked to stand up and be applauded for celebrating their 40th, 50th anniversary. To me its bitter sweet! Yes, its commendable and I applaud LOUDLY (even whistle!) but I also get  that ‘ little devil on my shoulder’ that has many of us wondering.. “Wow! How did they survive TOGETHER for those 40-50 years?” I choose TRUE LOVE as being the  answer. And that when they celebrate in that every passing year, they still SMILE at each other ALWAYS and remember that day when they first met and every year following and it was not only the good times that strengthened their true love but even more so the struggling not so good times!

The following song and video is special! Two grandsons help their grand father deliver on a regret  from high school and give  their grandmother  a GIFT of TRUE LOVE~  (yes ..I get misty eyes when Grandma puts her head in her hands!)

And another message song also by CB30: The two most important lines is the REFRAIN: “I believe most people are good…and most mom’s qualify for SAINT HOOD!” AMEN to that!! When I  am in schools in the month of May, I share that there should be serious consideration to change MOTHERS DAY to MOTHERS MONTH! And when Fathers Day comes around, I also ask those without a Father in their lives…to still get a Fathers Day card and give it to their MOMS!  Within my faith, I love sharing something I once was told. That is….“Its believed that the Angels were envious of MOMS! Why? Because GOD only chose woman to bring forth life.” I will never forget that!

Besides being a ‘storyteller’ sharing both the personal and also shining the spot light on others, I love using these motivational short vids and music (songs) that I have found to be extremely impactful on our youths. When using them, I often stand aside and watch the faces of the kids…as their eyes are locked onto the screen!  And I confess, no matter how many times I show or watch them, either in private or standing aside watching the kids watch them…I still have tears to wipe!
